BR at 27 Months

I wanted to do this update on Brantley Rae since soon our lives are going to be crazy when we add her baby sister to the mix. Chase and I took Brantley to the Botanical Gardens yesterday morning to take these pictures as her 2 year old photos but it also happened to be the day she turned 27 months old.

 Brantley's Stats:

I'm not exactly sure how much she weighs but I think she is around 23-24 pounds. I need to measure her height but she's probably 33" tall. She is still wearing size 3 diapers. I'm hoping she will start potty training this summer after Savannah is born and we get used to our new routine. She actually pooped in the potty for the first time (she's never even TT'd in it before) last Tuesday and ever since she's refused to sit on it again to do anything. So I've decided she isn't ready and we'll try again in a month or two. Brantley is wearing mostly size 6 shoes but some 5's still fit. She now has 14 teeth (she finally got her bottom incisors, but not the top yet).

 B-Rae talks all the time and very clearly. Most of the time I love hearing her talk to us, but sometimes I have to ask her to just be quiet for 2 minutes, which doesn't usually happen. Haha! She is learning her letters and the sounds they make right now, so that is pretty exciting. So far she knows A, B and C. She's been watcing Leap Frog's Letter Factory movie for the past few days so that is really helping. She has yet to watch it just once. As soon as it's over the first time, she asks to watching it again. At least she's learning something. She currently has a little lisp with her /S/ sounds in the final position. She also can't say her /v/ yet and usually puts a /b/ or /m/ in it's place. It's pretty cute! "Sa/m/annah" is how she says Savannah's name. I asked my roommate from Auburn who is a practicing SLP about BR's lisp and she told me that she is still too young to worry about it. Those letters should develop over the next year or so. We'll see! If not then hopefully I can remember some of my college education and help her learn them.

 Brantley Rae is a beautiful little girl on the inside and out. She is a delight to be around and she brings joy to our hearts daily. I LOVE when she tells me, "I lub you, Mommy!" Melts my heart every time. She does throw a fit here and there when she doesn't get her way, but if we're at home we can take her to her room and sit her on her bed. When she has calmed down, she is allowed to come out of her room and join us again. It's working really well and for now that is our version of Time-Out. The other thing that works is counting to 3. I actually only ever get to 2 before she is up and doing whatever I'd been asking her to do. Overall, she is a very well behaved 2 year old and we are proud of the way she acts in public and at home.

 Brantley Rae will be starting preschool again in August. She will be going to St. Mark UMC K.I.D.S. Program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm very excited about her getting back into school, because I feel like she will learn so much and benefit in numerous ways from being in a class with kiddos her same age. She is such a smart little stinker! Chase and I are amazed daily at some of the things she says and remembers that we just have to sit back and soak it in. 

Brantley Rae's Favorite Things:

Chocolate, candy, cupcakes, swinging at the park or in the backyard, riding the carousel at the Galleria, playing with her grandparents, riding her bicycle, swimming (this summer is going to be fun), and her blankets.

Favorite TV shows and movies:

We watch PBS kids or the Disney channel every morning during breakfast, so some of those shows are her favorite. I record Calliou every afternoon because that is seriously her very favorite show and it's a great 30 minute break time for me whenever I need it to cook dinner, chill out or eat a snack. (Hopefully this continues to work once baby sister is hear so that I can have time to get her fed and down for naps uninterrupted at least once a day. We'll see.) Her favorite movie is Letter Factory and a new Kipper video her Bebe just bought her on Wednesday night. Her favorite movies change every few weeks so I'm sure these will loose there luster soon.

Brantley Rae,

You are such a joy to be around and Mommy & Daddy love you more and more everyday. Your contagious smile and sweet laugh are always heart warming and can make any moment all better in an instant. We are so thankful for your life and look forward to watching you become a BIG SISTER very soon! I truly believe you are going to be a wonderful big sister because you are very interested in all of Savannah's things. Also, you talk to her in my belly and tell her you love her often. It's the cutest thing in the world. You are amazing, wonderful, happy, silly, loving, smart and absolutely perfect. God is so good!!

BR at 2 years-old!!

It's really hard to believe that my tiny baby that I delivered 2 years ago is actually 2! Has it really been 2 years?! Brantley is such a sweet little girl and we are loving every moment (well almost every moment) of being her parents. We have started to experience some of the behaviors associated with the "terrible twos", but Chase and I are working hard to handle this time the best we can and to teach her to behave. We just started reading Making the "Terrible" Twos Terrific by John Rosemond this morning in hopes of gaining a better understanding for what is going on in that sweet little brain of hers that makes her throw tantrums and tell us "no" so much. From the part that we read this morning, I'm pretty sure that this book is going to be great and Rosemond knows what he's talking about.

So onto Brantley's stats and more on what she's doing at age 2!

We went to her doctor check up this morning. Brantley weighs 22 lbs (10th percentile). She's 32.75" tall (25th percentile). Her head is 19.25" around. She is still wearing size 3 diapers. Wearing between a size 5 and 6 shoes. Size 18 months and some 2T clothes. Pants are still and probably always will be a struggle for me to buy because of how skinny she is. I'm looking forward to the weather warming back up so I can buy her 12 month shorts and they will probably fit perfectly and I won't have to worry about them being too short like I do with the pants. She no longer has a pacifier and has finally forgotten about it and doesn't ask for it at all anymore. Naps are still a little hard without the pacy but usually she goes on to sleep after talking and looking at books in her bed for 5-30 minutes, just depending on the day. Bedtime is much easier! She is typically really tired and ready to be in bed by the time we say she needs to go to bed. She's still a very good sleeper and for that I am truly thankful.

Brantley has A LOT to say and is talking all the time these days. Some of her phrases are totally cute and I wish I could record them all and post them to the blog but I'm not sure I can do it. She can sing her ABC's, Twinkle-Twinkle, Jesus Loves Me and The Wheels on the Bus. I've noticed lately that when we're listening to music in her room and having one of our dance parties, she was occasionally sing along with the guy on the ipod and it's not common songs that everyone knows. My mom gave us a CD back when she was still a baby that is full of really fun Christian based kid songs and BR loves the music. So my point is that after listening to that CD for almost 2 years she is starting to learn the words to the songs and sing along. Pretty cute! Oh and she'll tell us, "I smart mommy!" and my response is always, "yes, you are smart!"

Brantley is very much into Tinkerbelle these days and still likes Elmo but doesn't love to just sit and watch Sesame Street all that much. She more likes it as background noise while she's playing with something else. She likes Calliou and Barney as well but we don't watch them as much because of the time of day they are on TV. She will request to watch Tinkerbelle or Gnomeo and Juliet a least once a day. Yesterday, she watched Jungle Book for the first time, since this week in preschool we are learning about the jungle. I think she liked it although she really only paid attention during the singing parts. She talked about the animals and know understands the difference between and lion and a tiger. For some reason she has been calling the both a lion for a while now.

I really wish I had some pictures to share but as of right now we haven't taken any 2 year old pictures. Tomorrow is her birthday party so I'm hoping to get some really cute pictures of her there and maybe before the party while she is in her cute outfit I made for her. I do have some videos of her riding her new tricycle yesterday for the first time but they are still on the camera. I'll have to upload those pictures and videos, along with all the pictures from tomorrow and then do a big picture post.

Brantley Rae is a delight to be around and I don't know what Chase and I would do without her. She brings so much joy to everyone around her! The more she learns and grows, the more and more we fall in love with her even deeper. She is a special little girl and I'm so glad God gave her to us to love and care for. :o)

BR at 20 Months

Brantley Rae at 20 Months Old

Weight: 21 lbs

Height: Not sure

Clothes: She keeps getting taller but not much heavier. She is now needing 9-12 month waist in her pants and 18 month length. I'm going to be making all of her pants for the winter because you can't buy that size at the store. (and No, adjustable waist pants still don't fit her) She is wearing 18 month shirts and dresses with leggings.

Brantley is really into coloring these days and baby dolls. She is starting to name some of the colors and she can count to 10 but not all by herself yet. She can point out orange and blue best but she also knows pink, green and yellow.

She is talking so much these days! She is really starting to combine 2-3 words when she's talking. It's so cool to watch her grow and learn. One of the other moms and school heard her talking this afternoon and commented on how well she is talking for 20 months. I smiled and said Thank you! i've got 1 smart cookie!!

OH and guess what..... Brantley made it through the whole school day without her pacy!!!! I'm so excited!! I want to ween her from it REALLY bad but I'm too much of a softy to go cold turkey. So for now (we started last Friday), she can only have pacy at nap and bedtime or if she gets really hurt (thankfully that hasn't happened).

Her hair is really getting long but because it's still so curly you still can't tell. We sorta thought that as her hair started to grow out it would be straighter and just curly at the ends, but that's not the case. Her hair just keeps getting curlier, which I happen to love!! I can't picture what she would look like with straight hair. Anyways....

Brantley is in LOVE with all her shoes. Lining them up on the floor and trying each pair on can keep her entertained for much longer than I ever would've expected. Most of these are hand me down or consignment and are still a little big but she doesn't care, that just makes them a little easier to put on and take off. The boots are new and we both love them!

So our little munchkin is just growing up. It's so fun to watch her change and learn new things. We're going to the beach this weekend so I'll be back with a post about that next week. I'm not sure that I'll post again before that but we'll see! I hope everyone has a great week!!

BR at 18 Months Old

 I don't know how she could be much cuter but it just keeps happening. We love her!!

Brantley Rae is starting to test Chase and I. She loves to climb into chairs, like this one that spins, even though she knows she's not suppose to. It's a battle that we are willing to fight because I don't want her to fall and get hurt. This little stinker is going to learn and hopefully, not the hard way!

I hate that this post is so late (2 weeks) but at least I'm getting it done now. We've been pretty with the house and enjoying the end of summer so I have a lot to blog about. I just need to make time to sit down and do it. I'm going to try and catch up this weekend before I start work on Monday. Post to come!!

This is BR's favorite book right now. She points at the pictures and either says the word herself or waits for me to say it for her. So smart!!

BR at 16 Months Old

Brantley Rae at 16 Months Old:

Weights: not sure but I'm thinking 19 lbs

Heights: around 30.5 inches tall

Clothes: size 12 months       Diapers: size 3       Shoes: 4.5

New Words: Thank you "tay tu",  Please "me" (she signs this one at the same time so we know what she means. I'm just glad she's attempting to say words), All Done "aw dun" (this isn't a new word but she's pronouncing it much better. She actually puts the "n" sound on the end of "done". So cute), Up "bupbup". There may be another one but I can't think of it.

What has Brantley Rae been up to:

•  Well she loves to run around the house and chatter about I have no idea what. It's so cute to hear her little feet on the hardwoods and her little jibber-jabber. Precious!
• She's becoming more interested in baby dolls.
• Her hair has been growing like crazy. I have to put a ponyttail holder and a bow in it everyday (the bow is optional, ponytail is a must).
• Loves to look at books but doesn't like to sit still long enough for me to read one all the way through.
• She has been eating so much since she was sick a few weeks ago. I'm not kidding you! She can put some food away now, especially if it's something she really loves.
• Favorite Foods: Blueberries!, strawberries, cantaloupe, hot dogs, Dave's Deli's turkey and cheese sandwich (she will eat over half of the sandwich), CHEESE! (still her most favorite), milk, water and juice,  Waffer Cookies (thanks Bebe!).

FYI: BR in the bottom right picture looks SO much like me when I was her age. My parents can back me up on this one.

The older she gets the more fun she gets because she is interacting with us a learning SO many new things. Recently, she and her Daddy have started playing hide and seek. SO cute! Chase will hide and the BR will do find him. He jumps out, she laughs and wants him to do it again. Haha!

• She is also learning to be a little bit defiant at times. It's really not bad, but sometimes I have to pop her little hand/leg or try putting her in timeout. Timeouts don't work all that well yet. I mostly just remover her from the "naughty" situation and distract her as best I can. So far this approach has worked pretty well.
• The above picture captured the facial expression that I get a lot these days when I ask her to do something she isn't sure she wants to do. She's so stinkin' cute that sometimes that face wins. haha! I'm not a big pushover but sometimes I do give in to her cuteness. 

So that's Brantley Rae's 16 month posting. She is wonderful! Chase and I are truly blessed and thankful for her precious life. We thank God daily for putting her in our care. I hope that I will always be a good mother to her and make the best decisions in her life. Life is so great!!

BR at 12 Months...ONE year old!!!

 This past week has been so crazy with birthday celebrations and such, that I'm just now getting around to writing this post.

We went to BR's 12 month check up on Tuesday afternoon so now I have her stats.

Weight: 17 lb 13 oz

Height: 29 1/2 inches

Head: 18 1/4 inches

Teeth: still only 2 on the bottom

Diapers: Size 3

Clothes: Mostly 12 months but some 9 month things still fit - Shoes: size 3.5

Words: "dada" and "a da" aka All Done

She says "dada" and "a da" all the time. I think I've heard her slip up and say "mama" a few times the past couple of days but she doesn't say it on command. I know she will eventually.

Favorite Foods: Mandarin Oranges, Strawberries, Broccoli, Green Beans, Edemame, Cheese, Chicken, Eggs, Waffles, Buddy Fruits (if you haven't tried these with your little one, I recommend them. They're great!) She also still likes puffs, crackers. She wants to try anything we are eating. We usually let her and sometimes we don't.

Sleeping Habits: Brantley is still taking 2 naps a day. We are working towards switching to 1 long nap a day but Brantley isn't ready. Also, she still wakes up at least one time every night. I'm so tired of this. Dr. S said that it's more habit so I just need to give her water instead of feeding her a bottle and let her cry it out. I haven't taken that step yet. It may take a few nights but I will eventually stop giving her a full bottle and hopefully she will stop feeling so hungry at 4 am.

Oh and the other good news is that she has started drinking Whole Milk. I'm pumped that we don't have to continue buying formula anymore. That stuff is expensive!

 Brantley Rae at 12 months:
- Is the cutest little girl and so much fun to be around.
- Is starting to show an interest in Baby Dolls which makes me really happy. I LOVED baby dolls when I was a little girl. I was a little mommy and I would love for Brantley to have that motherly instinct as well.
- She loves playing with and holding onto helium balloons. We still have two from her birthday party and she holds the string and walks them around with her all day. It's pretty cute!
- Is trying to start running, but not quite there yet.
- Knows how to drink from a sippy cup with a straw. When we are out to dinner/lunch, she wants to drink our drinks if we have a top and straw. She thinks she's so big.
- I hate to admit it but she throws some seriously fits when she's tired and has something she wants taken away from her.I'm not going to lie. I usually think it's pretty funny but I try not to let her see me laughing. haha!
- Not a big fan of sweets. Like father, like daughter.

I know there is so much more that I should add to this post but I'll have to come back and update as I think of things. My brain is running a little slow this morning.

BR at 11 Months

Let's act like I did this post a week ago, okay? Thanks!

Brantley Rae is 11 Months and 1 week old! I can't believe that in 3 short weeks she will be ONE year old. Where has the time gone!

 Brantley Rae is growing up so much. She's walking 90% of the time now and is talking a lot of jibber-jabber. It's so cute! I love to hear the pitter-patter of her little feet as she waddles around the house.

This morning I took her outside for some pictures and all she wanted to do was pick up leaves and put them in her mouth. ha! Not exactly what I had in mind but that's fine too.

Stats

Weight: I'm not sure. Chase weighed her on our scale the other day and it said she was 18.5 lbs. I'm not sure that I believe it. If that's correct then she has gained 2 pounds in a month. hmm?

Height: I need to start measuring her since she can stand so well now. Add it to the list.

Eats: 3 meals a day with formula from a sippy cup at each meal. If she has a snack in the afternoon, I give her juice. Sometimes before naps I'll give her a bottle and at night when she wakes up I give her a bottle.

Sleep: BR goes to bed around 7:45 every night. She takes a bath at 7:30 and then book, bottle, bed. She unfortunately has been waking up 1-2 times a night for the past almost 2 months and I haven't been able to keep her from doing it. I get up and give her a bottle and she'll drink a whole 6oz but I'm not sure that's she's really hungry. She shouldn't be! I think it's possibly that she can't find her pacy so she cries out and I think she's hungry. Hmm? I've got to experiment and get her sleeping through the night again. I'm tired everyday!

Shoes: Size 3.5 -BR got her first 2 pairs of Stride Rites for Christmas. They are super cute and she walks great in them.

Clothes: Mostly 9 months but she is starting to fit into 12 months. I guess that extra 2 pounds is helping out in this area. She has really started to get a belly on her that is so cute.

Diapers: Size 2-3 Pampers - She can wear a 3 but they are still a little bit too big so we're using 2-3 for now. 

Words: DaDa and All Done "a da" - She was saying Momma some a month or so ago but has since then forgotten how to say it.

At 11 Months Brantley Rae:

- Is walking all the time. She is getting more and more steady and confident in her walking ability. I'm sure she'll be running before too much longer. She already tries to walk too fast and usually falls or we catch her.

- Is still taking a pacy. Chase and I have talked about the fact that we need to "lose" the pacy soon but I'm just not ready because I know how much BR loves and needs her pacy. I've started trying to get her to love a blanket and she done like silky blankets but she still needs her pacy to go to sleep. Any Suggestions? Cold turkey?

- If you give her a doll or stuffed animal and tell her to 'give it love' she will pull it to her cheek and squeeze it. So cute! 

- When she sees herself in a mirror (in a book) she will bend down and kiss herself. haha

- For some reason she LOVES when I vacuum with the Swiffer Sweeper Vac. I'm not sure why but she will follow me around squealing out of excitement for the vacuum. We gave her a toy vacuum for Christmas but she doesn't have the same love for the toy as she does for the real thing. I really should video her next time.

- Likes to look at books and turn the pages but is much too busy to sit and listen to a whole book. (Like mother, Like daughter.) She does love the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and will sit through that whole book and actually laughs when I say "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom." She's so cute!

- Her hair is really growing now and it's even starting to curl in the back and on the sides.

Today after lunch I took BR over to the park here in Bluff Park. We played on the play gym and went down the slides a few times. Then I let her swing, which is her most favorite thing to do at the park.

 She wasn't sure what she was suppose to do up there so she just picked up a piece of pine straw and stood there. Funny girl!

 I finally got her to walk around a little bit and explore. The play gym up at the park is WAY too big for her but it was still fun. I know as she gets older we will spend many afternoons up there playing.

Can you see the joy on her face as she was swinging? She loves it! I just love to push her and listen to her squeal and watch her beautiful smile stretch across her face. It's adorable, she's adorable!

So you wanna know what else BR can do now...

 She is starting to learn how to use a fork! If I stick the food on it then she will put the fork in her mouth but she hasn't figured out how to stab the food herself yet. We haven't tried a spoon yet because she doesn't really like food that has to be fed to her on a spoon. It reminds her of baby food and she's just not going to even try it. haha Little Stinker!

She takes baths in the big bathtub! Up until 2 nights ago she has still been in her baby tub. She loved crawling around in the bathtub and having more room to play with her toys. I still need to buy a skid-proof mat for the bottom of the tub and I'm going to get me something to put my knees on. These old gymnast knees can't kneel down on that tile long enough to give her a bath.

So our little baby girl is growing up and is 11 months old now. Yikes! I've already started planning her birthday party but I've got to get busy. It's going to be here before I know it and I've got a lot to do.

BR at 10 Months Old

This sweet pea turned 10 months old yesterday and I can hardly believe it! The time is flying by way to fast. Yikes! I'm so glad we have all these adorable pictures to document her as she grows.

This is going to be a short BR monthly update because she's got a cold again and I'm sure she'll wake up a bunch of times tonight. So I need to get in the bed.

Weight: I'm not exactly sure how much she weighs but I think she's around 16 pounds. She was 16.5 with clothes on the last time we were at the doctor, which was about a week and a half ago.

Diapers: still in 2's

Clothes: 6-9 months and 9 months

At 10 months, Brantley Rae...

-cut her first tooth last week

-has started walking between Chase and I

-loves green beans, mandarin oranges and cheese

-she has gotten very good at eating table food

-really likes looking at touch & feel books. The one in the pictures is her new Christmas book.

-her hair keeps growing

-she has the cutest scrunchy nose smiley face. It's so cute!

-is starting to figure out that I'm Ma-Ma and Chase is Da-Da. Yay!

Brantley Rae is the sweetest, most adorable baby I've ever seen! I know I'm partial, but really she is adorable! I have no idea what I would do without her. I thank the Lord daily for this sweet gift he gave Chase and I. I'm so thankful! She has come down with a cold so I'm praying that she can get a good nights sleep and we're probably going to the doctor tomorrow morning because I'm afraid she's getting an ear infection. She was totally pitiful tonight. Thankfully, I finally got her to sleep a little while ago. (ahh the power just flickered! Yikes!!)  Gotta go!

BR at 9 Months

 Brantley Rae turned 9 months old this past Thursday. I can hardly believe how fast time is flying by and how much she has grown already. She is such a joy! Chase and I are so truly blessed to have her as our daughter. We are totally in love and I can't imagine my life without her anymore.

Friday we went to the doctor for her 9 month check up. These are her stats:

Weight: 15 pounds 13 ounces (Still a little girl!)

Height: 27 1/2 inches tall

Diapers: Size 2 (I think we'll stay in size 2 for a while)

Clothes: 6-9 months mostly. 9 month pants and sleeves are still long on her but the pants actually do fit in the waist surprisingly.

Shoes: Size 3 but she doesn't ever wear them. I have a pair of Robeez and a pair of Bobux shoes that are really cute and she likes to wear them because they fit well but she can still move around good.

Naps: 2-3 times a day

Eats: Breakfast and lunch for sure and sometimes dinner with bottles in between. She's still a light eater so it's hard for me to get her to actually eat 3 meals a day and drink enough bottles. She LOVES to feed herself so anything I can fix for her that she can pick up usually makes it into her mouth and tummy. Which means that she rarely ever eats baby food anymore. She still likes oatmeal and maybe baby food fruit for breakfast but for lunch and dinner I have to think of thing she can feed herself that are easy to gum up.

Foods she likes: Chicken, cheerios, kiwi fruit, mandarin oranges, peaches, green beans, sweet peas, pasta, Gerber puffs and lil' crunchies, yogurt, oatmeal and I'm sure there is other stuff that I can't think of at the moment. She loves to drink water and juice also.

Teeth: None. I'm not even sure that she's really started to teeth yet. Sometimes she'll get fussy and keep her fingers in her mouth like her gums hurt but them other times it doesn't seem to bother her at all. We still can't see any teeth buds either. I really don't mind that she's going to be a late teether because I'm hoping that means we'll spend less money on having cavities filled once she's older.

               

 What is BR up to these days...
-She is crawling all over the place and pulling up on anything that doesn't move and sometimes she tries to stand up on things that do move. The latter doesn't always work out so well for her.
-She's getting into everything so we're having to baby-proof more and more everyday to keep things out of reach.
-She has learned how to make a fishy face. She sucks her checks in and pooches her lips out. It's adorable! I tried to catch a picture of her doing it the other morning at breakfast but of course, every time the light flashes she would stop. Silly baby!
-She can stand in place for a few seconds. We're thinking that she will be walking my Christmas for sure. She is a super mobile baby and if her Daddy keeps working with her she'll be walking in no time. haha!
-Still takes a paci.
-Her hair is really starting to grow. Now I can put bows in it so she doesn't have to wear a headband anymore. :o)
-She has started saying "Momma" but she doesn't know that it's my name yet I don't think. She says it kinda slow and blows a bubble with her mouth. Still music to my ears!!
- She still loves to swing! In a porch swing or at the park. She is happy as a lark!
-She makes the cutest scrunchy-nose face I've ever seen. Look at it in the picture below in the middle. It's that adorable! I'm not sure where she learned. I think I might do it to her and I didn't even notice it until she started doing it. haha Like mother,  like daughter!!

So that's the update on our sweet little pumpkin. She's healthy as a horse and the doctor says she perfect as she can be!! I totally agree with him! :o)

BR at 8 Months

 I'm not sure how much Brantley weighs because I haven't been to the group to weigh her in almost 2 months. Yikes! I'm guessing she's around 16-17 pounds. Still little but very very active! She still naps 3-4 times a day. Although, she starting to drop her late afternoon nap and going to bed a little earlier, which is great! This week we've had some trouble with nap time, but I'm gonna win and she's gonna continue to be a good sleeper, and I good go-to-sleeper. ha!

We've been having so much fun lately. Her personality is developing so much and I just love it! She's adorable, precious and we love her.

At 8 months Brantley:

- is pulling up everywhere is can and on anything that is stationary. Sometimes this ends in a fall and a bonk on the head. So far she isn't all that tough. Everytime she cries really hard for about 30 seconds and then she gets over it. I guess that's not too bad! ha!

- Pulls up to stand in her crib. Then she beats her hands on the top rail as if she saying, "Mommy, Daddy, come get me!!!" It's pretty cute but we're gonna be lowering her crib this weekend because I would hate for our sweet angel to fall out. Ouch!

- Likes kiwi and watermelon a whole lot. She is getting really good at feeding herself. She also loves the baby puffs. So far we've only tried Veggie Dip, Sweet Potato, Strawberry Apple and Cinnamon Maple (She's not a fan of the last one but all the others she likes).

- Sometimes she crawls back to her playroom to play all by herself. I'm so glad she likes the room and that she can entertain herself a little bit. I don't leave her in there alone for very long, but she likes just crawling all over the house and exploring.

- has seriously become the best baby ever. I'm amazed at how easy she really is. Love her!

- Her hair is really starting to grow. I'm sure you can see in the pictures, but now I can put a bow in her hair and I don't have to use a headband.

- Holds and drinks out of her sippy cup. Loves white grape juice and water.

- She is starting to dance. She will stand at the toy in the picture below and when the alphabet song plays she will bounce her bottom up and down. It's adorable!!

I can't believe she's 8 months old already. Time is flying by so fast! With the holidays coming up I know January will be here before we know it. Ahh! I better cherish every day.

BR at 7 Months Old

I'm a little late on this post but we've been really busy this week and I just got around to taking her 7 month pictures yesterday afternoon. I love my little Auburn Tiger!! So cute!!

Weight: Not sure, but I'm gonna guess somewhere around 15 pounds.

Height: No clue

Diapers: Size 2

Clothes: 3-6 month, almost into 9 month because she's tall 

(I'm not sure where she got her height from)

Naps: 3-4 times a day

(We're about to start a new schedule because I'm going to be keeping a little boy at home with us starting Tuesday, so I'm hoping to have them on the same schedule.)

Eats: Drinks 4-5 bottles everyday and eats 2-3 meals a day. She has started eating those little puffs and really likes them. She can actually put them in her own mouth!

At 7 months Brantley:

- is CRAWLING!!! It's crazy! We wanted her to crawl so bad a few weeks ago because we thought that would be so great. Now is she all over the place and I miss the days of her being immobile. I'm happy for her that she has reached this milestone she's just a little early and really doesn't understand "no" at all. Marley's toys, food bowls and extension cords are her favorite things to crawl towards. So I unplug the extension cords and put up Marley's food when she's crawling around to avoid any encounters. haha!

- still loves her pacifier...I'm not sure when we're going to give this one up. It works for now and she sleeps really well so I haven't even thought about taking it away yet.

- loves to play in the floor with her toys

- tries to flip over EVERY time we change her diaper. I have to say that this is probably the most annoying thing yet. Especially, when she has a poopy diaper. I mean really, just be still kid so it doesn't get all over the place. I've started giving her her hairbrush to chew on and it's been working really well most of the time.

- likes to love on her pink tiger at our house and her babydoll and doggy at Bebe and Paw-Paw's house. It's so cute! You can tell her to "give it some love" and she'll pull it to her and give it a hug. Adorable!!

- still loves her exersaucer and her johnny jump up. These two were lifesavers before she was crawling and now they are even better, because she can't get out of them but loves to play and jump. So great!

- is getting cuter and cuter everyday. Her hair is finally starting to grow. I can put a bow in it but it falls out pretty easily. We're almost there! Maybe by 8 months we won't need headbands anymore.

So that's pretty much BR at 7 months. I'm sure I've left something out and if I have I'll come back and add it later. I took her pictures with the adorable AU outfit that my friend, Tiffany from Auburn, gave her back before she was born. Unfortunately, it's a little big but that's not going to stop us from wearing it. It's a good thing I know a thing or two about sewing. It will fit perfect by tonight. I assure you! ha! War Eagle, Baby!

 Is loves that table toy and the bouncey seat toys also. She won't stay int he bouncey seat but she loves the toys from it. Silly girl! Check out her adorable bloomers with the paw prints on the bottom. So cute!!

BR at 6 Months Old

It's hard to believe she's 6 months old already.

On Tuesday, we went for Brantley Rae's 6 month check up. She was so active that it was crazy. I couldn't keep her from wiggling all over the table. I should have taken a picture of the piece of paper that they had covering the table. She totally crumpled it all up. It was pretty funny. Dr. S even chuckled a little when he walked in.

Dr. S said that she looks great. She's still small but she very healthy.

Weight: 13 lbs 10.5oz (15th percentile)

Length: 26.5 inches (90th percentile)

Diapers: size 2

Clothes: 3-6 months

Naps 3-4 times a day

Eats a lot more solids now. At least 2 solid meals a day. 

She's still drinking at least 5 bottles a day.

At 6 months Brantley:

-Still takes a pacy

-Sleeps from 8:30pm-7:00am and only wakes up once around 3:30am

-Is up on all fours and rocking back and forth. She isn't crawling yet but I think she will be by 7 months for sure.

-Loves her Johnny Jump Up

-Giggles and smiles ALL the time

-Is such a happy baby

-Loves watching Marley. She looks at her and laughs. When I get her up from her naps she looks down at the floor to see if Marley has come into her bedroom. It's so cute!!

-She still falls asleep on her own, which is wonderful!

These turned out really cute. I'm so happy with them.

We tried to take some pictures of her in her baby dedication dress this afternoon and this is my favorite one. I'll share the others later.

She is such a sweet baby and we love her so so much!
