He is Risen! Happy Easter!

On Saturday morning we went up to Bluff Park for the 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year it was held at the playground next to the Shades Cliff pool. We all had a wonderful time visiting with friends! The egg hunt was a huge it with these sweet girls. In the picture next to BR is her little friend, Sawyer, from school. Chase went the high school with Sawyers daddy and her mommy and I are also friends. It was great to visit with them this morning!

On Sunday afternoon, we went out to my Aunt and Uncles house for lunch and to spend time with family. I took it as an opportunity to get a picture of the 4 of us hopefully just a few days before we become a family of 5. My belly look HUGE next to Savannah's head. haha 

Doodlebug was in a mood and didn't want to take this picture so this is as good as it got. It shows her personality pretty well I think.

All these sweet cousins had a great time playing together yesterday. We were so thankful to get to spend time with the Preston boys while they are down from PA for Spring Break. The kids always have such a wonderful time together!!

Our Savior has conquered death so that we may be forgiven and free! Thank you, Lord Jesus!

Hiking at Moss Rock

The day before Thanksgiving we got invited to go hiking with some of my extended family and my parents at Moss Rock. My cousin, Andrea and her family were in town from PA for Thanksgiving so they were there, my cousin Tim and his family and my Uncle Mike and Aunt Mary Jo. 

We had a great time and it was a gorgeous day!!

 Savannah had refused her morning nap so she slept in the backpack for a little while.

 Brantley had a BLAST!! We really will need to do this again soon. Before we go next time we'll be buying Brantley some real tennis shoes or hiking boots. She climbed all over the place in her pretty silver Keds. haha

Family photo opp. Brantley was so sleepy and Savannah pulled my hair. Oh well, we still captured a good memory of the day. I wish I had a group picture with everyone in it but we didn't take one.

I am blessed beyond words! God has been so good to me and given me so much! I love my girls, I love my husband, I love my life!!

Old Baker Farm 2012

 This year we decided to go to Old Baker Farm on Thursday afternoon so that we would be there when it was less crowded and that's exactly what we got. We were one of only 3 or 4 other families there that afternoon. It was great but boring at the same time. Brantley still had a great time so that's all that matters really anyways!

 Savannah was in the carrier pretty much the whole time and did great! She loved being able to look around at everything and didn't fuss at all. Love her!

We had a great time this year at Old Baker Farm even though it was very low key. Next year is going to be really fun with Savannah walking/running around by then.

Beach Trip (Day 4)

Saturday night we went on a dolphin cruise. We chose the Southern Star because it was the biggest boat. It was fun but it will be much better when the girls are bigger.

 Brantley (and lots of other people, including Chase and my Dad) got to feed the Seagulls Frito chips. It was really crazy at the back of the boat while they fed them because the gulls were flying everywhere trying to get the chips out of peoples fingers. In the picture above you can see the Frito in the seagulls mouth as he's flying away.

 The sun was very bright and it was super hot!

 Savannah was just chillin' in her carseat at first but after a while she wanted to get out. I still not really sure if the swaying of the boat bothered her or if she was just tired but she got really fussy towards the end. I was finally able to get her to sleep in my arms for about 20 minutes and then she woke up and the cruise was over.

 We actually did see LOTS of dolphins but they are extremely hard to take pictures of from a moving boat full of other people also trying to take pictures of them. Of the almost 100 pictures we took, this was the best one!

 My favorite part of the cruise was watching the sunset. It was gorgeous! Chase got some great pictures that I can't wait to frame and hang in our house.

We're already made plans to do that again in 2 or 3 years when Savannah is old enough to enjoy it and Brantley will love it even more by then as well. We also think it will be really cool to rent a pontoon boat one year and just go out in the bay for the day. We can fish, swim, sun bathe...it's a couple of years down the road but I'm already looking forward to it.

After the cruise, my parents took the girls back to the condo, so Chase and I could have a date night. We played putt putt golf at The Track and got drinks at the Shake place. Yum! It was a great way to end our vacation!

The next day was Sunday and sadly the time had come for us to head home. I hated to leave because the trip had been so perfect. I love going down to the beach this time of year because the weather is usually so awesome and they beaches aren't as crowded as in the summer. I'm already looking forward to going back next year.

Beach Trip (Day 3)

 Day 3 was another pool day. Chase and Brantley played for a long time. She loves to use the mesh float as a boat so Chase was making it go "real fast".

 

 Savannah napped under one of the shade trees that covered the edge of the pool deck. Then when she woke up she got to "swim" with me.

That night we had a dinner at a place called Dewey Destin's Seafood. The restaurant was on the bay so we got to look at the boats after dinner.

 Even though it got dark on us quickly, I thought it was really pretty looking at all the boats. We saw a few crabs in the water and lots of cranes and pelicans. 

This is a terrible picture but I want to document that Brantley got to feed the little fish. Thanks, Nana for the quarter!

Beach Trip (Day 2 - Playground)

The complex had this great little playground right next to the pool. So that night while dinner was cooking, Chase and I took Brantley down to play.

 Gorgeous! I'm in love with our new camera lens and even more in love with this sweet little girl!!

 We had a lot of fun! Even Chase and I slid down the slide a time or two. I'm not sharing the pictures of me because they are terrible. I'm using them as motivation to get myself back into shape. 

Brantley LOVES her daddy so much! They were playing "monster" or tag. Chase was chasing her but she got away from him just in time before he could tickle her. haha!

We stayed in for dinner and just relaxed there in the condo. We were all pretty pooped from a day full of fun!
