Gettin' Fit

Well, this is going to be a short post but I just wanted to publicly pat Chase and I on the back, if you will. He and I went on long walks yesterday and today. YAY!
We walked close to 4 miles last night and 2 miles tonight. I'm so proud of me/us!
I haven't been exercising during my pregnancy like I should have been, which I've been feeling pretty guilty about. But this week, we're turning over a new leaf. We're going to start walking every afternoon we can so that Chase can loose a few unwanted pounds and I can be healthier for my delivery.
I hope we can keep it up!

Scrapblog

I absolutely LOVE this new Blog header. I made it using Scrapblog.com. Check it out!

There are lots of FREE options, which is what I use, or you can buy other background, stickers and such. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. There are themed templates you can start with and just change the pictures and words or you can start from scratch. I've done it both ways and I personally like the way the ones that I made from scratch turned out more.

Once we go for our Sonogram and get more pictures I'll make a new one or update this one with new pictures and gender. I can't wait to find out!!!!

She is my cousins, Tim and Sara's youngest. Her name is Molly Lane and she is 2 months old. I haven't ever taken any good pictures of her to post on here so when Sara sent this out today I couldn't resist sharing.

Belly Post - 17 weeks

I took this picture today because I really like this dress and I wanted to be wearing it in this weeks picture. I know it's a day early but I don't think I'll grow much over night. Haha!

Yesterday, I went to my 16 week check-up. It went really well. Brantley's heart rate is now 150bpm and Dr. S said that was very good. Yay! We made the appointment to have our sonogram done on September 15th. I really wish it was sooner but I guess 3 more weeks won't kill me. Haha! So Brantley and I are doing great! Chase is doing well also. He's still very happy with his Jeep and he's also very anxious about our next appointment.
I'm looking into finding a way to have a sonogram done sooner but that hasn't panned out just yet. We'll see!!

Can We Ride It Again...Please!!

Saturday afternoon I got to spend some time with my friend, Ashley, and her daughter, Kearstyn. We went to the mall to do a little shopping. The first thing Kearstyn (Kiki) wanted to do was ride the carousel. We told her we had to eat lunch first and then we would ride. She wasn't too happy about that part but she ate and then we rode. It was so much fun!
I took this great picture of Ash and Kiki right before the ride started and I love the way it turned out.
Of course, Kiki wanted to ride again but it was time for a little shopping. We walked around for a while and I found a few things but Ashley, unfortunately did not. The whole time we were shopping Kiki kept asking to ride the carousel again. So before we left we rode it again.
This little 3-year-old got a kick out of it.
So much fun!!!

I'm glad I got to spend the afternoon with these girls. I love them both very much!!!

Happy 7 Month Anniversary!

Yesterday was a pretty great Friday! School went really well and that's always a WONDERFUL thing!
When I got home from school/work, Chase was there cutting the grass. When he was finished he came inside with me and we started playing with Marley. We bought her a green ball 2 or 3 days ago and she has been totally scared of it until this afternoon. I'm not sure what I did differently today but all of a sudden she grabbed it and ran away with it. She has now been playing with it non-stop. She's so funny and I love her!

I tried to upload a video I took of her playing with it but the video doesn't show up. Is there a trick to uploading videos?

Last night, Chase and I decided to celebrate our 7 month wedding anniversary by going to dinner and shopping a little bit. We had dinner at P.F. Changs at the Summit. We ate YUMMY Chicken Lettuce wraps and shared Mongolian Beef. It was so great! There were some little girls having and birthday party there and they all got special Chop-Sticks that were easier to use. The manager saw me watching them and then brought me some. It was pretty funny and they really are easier to use. Oh and I almost forgot... we also had dessert. Strawberry Cheesecake and a Great Wall of Chocolate tiny (shot glass) desserts. They were DELICIOUS!!
(We didn't take a picture at the restaurant but we did take one when we got back home.)

After dinner I talked Chase into going over to Vera Bradley and "looking" around. Ha! Of course, when we got in the store I fell in love with the diaper bag in Blue Rhapsody. Guess what Chase LET ME BUY IT!!!! Yay!! I'm SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!

How cute is this? It has lots of pockets and came with a matching changing pad. I'm thinking I might get it monogrammed eventually with Brantley's name on it. Or maybe not, I haven't decided yet.

Once we had spent money on me and Brantley, we decided to go to Best Buy and look at new TV's. Our current TV is dying. Sad! The pixels in the screen are going out, so there are hundreds of white dots all over the screen. Chase has been doing research for weeks so we knew what we were looking for when we got in there. Thankfully they had the one we picked in stock. Yay!
We packed it up in the Xterra and headed to the house.

The flash reflected off the screen and makes it look a little musty/gray but it's really clear in person.

Taking pictures of a TV is really impossible when you don't have the right camera or settings. Oh well, you get it. This TV is really nice and we love the screen quality.

SO... We ate dinner, bought a super cute diaper bag and a new cool TV. What an anniversary celebration! haha! We enjoyed ourselves. We were together and that's all that mattered.

We're still VERY much in love!!!!

Belly Post - 16 weeks

Yesterday I, or rather Brantley, turned 16 weeks.
During this past week, my belly has really started to POP out. I've had multiple people notice that I'm pregnant just by looking at my belly and that hadn't happened before this week. I'm real excited to be showing more.
I also think I've felt some movements this week but I only feel them once a day or so... so it's hard to tell if that's what it really is or not.

I go to the doctor on Tuesday for my next check up. So please pray with us that everything is still going well. We're also going to be planning our Sonogram to find out the sex of the baby. I hope we can schedule the appointment as soon as possible. I can't wait to find out!!!!!

Keep growing little Brantley!

Chase's New Jeep

On Tuesday, Chase got this new Jeep. He is really HAPPY with it and that makes me HAPPY! We know it's not very practical for having a baby but we'll be driving my Xterra pretty much all the time so it shouldn't matter.

Once Brantley gets old enough we'll start taking he/she for bumpy rides in Daddy's Jeep.

I really like it but I'll like it more once I'm not pregnant anymore.

Alabama Adventure

Sunday, I went to Alabama Adventure with some of my family. My cousin, Andrea, and her two boys were down for a visit so we all decided to have a little fun Sunday afternoon. It turned out to be SO much fun!

Sadly, I didn't take a picture of the youngest cousin, Molly Lane. I'll have to make sure and do that next time I see them. They are all so cute and I love them all! Chase and I can't wait to add our little addition to this collection of cuties!

ChuckECheese and 15 week Belly post

Last night, Chase and I went to ChuckECheese for our friend Brittany's 24th Birthday party. It was so much fun even if we were WAY older than the youngsters that were running around. We got to have cake, take a group picture and play lots and lots of games. Chase and I wracked up 558 tickets total. It was pretty awesome!! We ended up giving all the tickets to Paul (Brittany's husband) so that he could get her a really cool prize at the end of the night.

Paul put all 24 candles on her cake. It was pretty funny! That was one big wish she got to make!!!

Chase played almost every game in there. A few of them were giving way more tickets than they should have been and that's how we wracked up on so many tickets.

It was a lot of fun! Happy Birthday Brittany!! I hope you had as much fun as we did. Thanks for inviting us!!

Nursery Update

Last Friday, Chase came home early and wanted to go look at fabric for Brantley's room in hopes that we would find something "gender bender" so that he could then paint the nursery. (He has been itching to do that for a while.) So we did! We went to Hancocks and of course found the perfect fabric within minutes. We love it!

Then we arrived at our first problem...there wasn't enough at that store. There computers were down so they couldn't check and see if the fabric could be reordered. Our only other option was to drive out to the Hwy-280 store and see if they had any of it. Chase didn't really want to go out there but I did, so we did and they had a whole role of the fabric at their store. (Insert big smile here) It was wonderful!! Of course we went back to the Hoover store and got what they had as well. Now we have WAY MORE than enough for everything we need to make for the room.
So then we went to Lowe's and picked out the paint color. I wish I remembered what it was called but it was something about Spring and LIME green!! We were REALLY skeptical at first when it was going on the walls but now we like it! We think it will be great once everything else gets added to the room. See, look...

What do you think? We have white and chestnut furniture to go in the room as well. Once everything else moves in and get hung up on the walls it should be GREAT! Right?

I convinced Chase that we needed to put the crib together and get that big box out of the room. Hehe! I really just wanted to see it in the room. I love it! We're hoping it will be perfect and everything the reviews said it was and some of the things they said it wasn't. ( For instance, some people said their kids were able to climb out easily and at an early age. Let's pray this one doesn't happen.)
Anyways, it was a pretty great weekend because Chase and I spent every moment together and we got a lot of baby "stuff" accomplished. Yay for us!

I can't wait to put or little one down to sleep in it! Wow! Oh and yesterday, Chase and I were driving in the car and all of a sudden, he had a revelation (if you will) and he said, "I'm going to be a Daddy!" It was so funny/cute! He had realized that before but it just hit him again as we were leaving Chuck E Cheese's. We had been there for Brittany's birthday party and we were talking about how we'll probably take Brantley there in a few years. CRAZY!! I can't wait for the crazy times and the loving/sweet times!! It's all going to be so life changing and great.

Our assistant principal at work told me this morning that having kids is great, wonderful and the best thing in the world, but she also said "you'll be a nervous/tired wreck for the rest of your life" because you worry about if you're kids are okay or not. I know, this is so true!!

Sneak Peak!

This weekend we've gotten a few things accomplished so this post is just to give you all a sneak peak at some of the things we've picked out.

Yesterday, Chase picked up Brantley's crib from Babies R' Us. Look how big the box is! It's HUGE!! We aren't going to set it up until we get finished painting in the room.

This is the color of the crib. I can't wait to get it out of the box and set it up.

Here is a sneak peak at our color choice. It's a little loud and we're starting to second guess ourselves but we're still going to keep painting and see what it looks like when the whole room is covered. The color matches the fabric perfectly but it's still VERY bright!

This is it! Chase and I went to look for gender bender fabric today, not thinking we would actually find anything that would work. After searching through the fabric at Hancock we ran across this one and at one look we both said "this is the one." It's really different but I love all the colors and we hope Brantley will like it too.

Urban Dictionary

So as I was surfing around on Facebook during lunch today, and I discovered Urbandictionary.com. A friend of mine had looked up her name and got a very interesting definition. So of course, I tried it out! This is what I got....
1. Allison: A woman defined by brains, beauty, class, and membership in the upper echelons of society. Can usually be found wearing pearls or sorority letters.
I agree with the brains, beauty and class part but I don't consider myself in the upper echelon of any society and I rarely ever wear pearls and was never in a sorority.
2. Allison: coolest b**** on the block
Ha! I laughed when I read that one. I guess I'm cool, sometimes, but definitely not the coolest.
3. Allison: A common English name with Anglo and Celtic origins meaning "truthful" or "honest".
This was the definition I expected to get first. I've always heard that my name meant "truthful" and "honest." I agree with those and like to believe that I'm both of them most of the time. I'm not perfect but I try to uphold those qualities everyday.

I looked up Brantley and the definitions were absolutely horrendous/embarrassing/offensive! I mean not a single one was good. That's so sad! I hope Brantley never gets this idea to look up his or her name on urbandictionary.com. It might make him/her feel bad.
Chase didn't have very nice definitions either. Oh well, at least my name was an okay one.

Anyways, I thought this was a pretty fun thing to do during lunch. Now on to cleaning up the kitchen and the rest of my house. Boo!

Our Wedding Album

Today our wedding album came in! I'm so excited!
I created it on Blurb.com with there software program that can be downloaded there. It was pretty easy and very fun!
My picture taking isn't the greatest because I took them at the wrong time of day. But I'm excited and I didn't want to wait to post about it.

I just love the way our album turned out, even if I did design it myself.

The Zoo

Sunday afternoon, my mom and I took Alyssa to the Zoo and we all had a great time!
I didn't get to take many pictures because once we got there I realized my camera battery was about dead. Sad!
We did get to ride the train and that is when Alyssa and I took this picture. I wish I had snapped a picture of she and her Nana as well but I was hot and tired and didn't think about that at the time. Hopefully next time we see her, my battery will be charged and I will be able to take more pictures.

She's getting so big and I love her so very much!

Marley's Birthday

Today, Marley had her 1st birthday (she's 7 in doggy years). We didn't do anything real special for her but I did make her this hat.

I thought it turned out pretty cute, but she didn't like it all that much!

See look what a good sport she was. I love her and I can't believe she's already a year old. I guess I have to start buying new ADULT dog food and such. Strange but she has to grow up. Like I already said I love her!!
