Pink & Brown Sundress

I made this ADORABLE dress for BR this morning. I'm totally in love with it!!!

The pattern is pretty small and since I don't have a copy machine at my house I couldn't make it bigger. BR might not get to wear it since she will probably grow out of it before it gets warm enough. SO I might just have to give it to a friend that ends up having a baby girl in the warmer months.

I'm going to attempt to make a bigger one now so that BR will have a better chance at getting to wear it.

Black Friday Breakfast Casserole

This morning Chase and I decided to be creative and make a breakfast casserole. We made a trip to Piggly Wiggly for all the groceries and then came back and started creating. This is what we came up with...

Black Friday Breakfast Casserole

2 cups Tator tots

½ pound sausage

1 cup shredded cheese (maybe more, you don't really have to measure) :o)

6 eggs

¼ cup milk

salt & pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cover the bottom of a 2 quart shallow baking dish with the Tator tots. Bake tator tots for 10-15 minutes so you can flatten them on the bottom of the dish. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover with shredded cheese.

While tots are cooking brown sausage. Drain and layer on top of Tator tots. Cover with shredded cheese.

Stir up eggs and milk in a bowl and add salt and pepper to taste. Pour eggs on top of casserole and let it soak through.

Cook 30 minutes covered. Then cook uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes. Eggs should be yellow/fluffy looking and not shiny any more.

I would have taken a picture but my eager/starving husband dug into it before I could get the camera out. Oh well! It was really good and I would recommend it.

Seriously!!...

why can't I sleep?!?!

I really don't like all these sleepless nights I've been having lately. I mean really! I'm tired and I need all the rest I can get right now before Brantley Rae gets here. I CAN NOT go to sleep or stay asleep for a long time most nights. And on nights like tonight, once I wake up to go to the bathroom the first time at 2:15am, I then just lay in bed thinking about any and everything and I can't go back to sleep. What's up with that?!! So now it's 3:15am and I finally decided to just get out of bed for a little while and come Blog about it. Maybe this will help me. PLEASE!!

Sometimes the problem is that I'm uncomfortable and I can just change positions and then go back to sleep but not tonight. I layed every different way I'm allowed to lay and nothing was working, my mind is awake! ARG!!

This is probably my biggest complaint I have about my pregnancy. People have told me over and over that this is just preparation for when BR is born and I'm awake at night with her. I totally get that, but seriously!!!! She isn't here yet and I'm tired! There is no baby for me to feed, change or rock yet. Honestly, I understand that she will wake me up at night, I get that, I promise! But why must I lay awake night after night for hours at a time right now before she is born? I really don't feel that it's necessary. I could go on and on because unfortunately I am wide awake, but I think I'll stop.

On and lighter note...

Today is already Thanksgiving and while I am very much NOT thankful for sleepless nights, I AM however overwhelmed with thanksgiving for Brantley Rae, her Daddy and our sweet doggy, Marley. I love them all dearly and thank God daily for putting each of them into my life. I am truly blessed to have so much love, joy and happiness in my life.

Thank you, Lord for my wonderful life!!

Precious Moments Dress

Beverly gave me this fabric tonight and I couldn't wait to make a dress out of it. I think Precious Moments are so cute! This dress turned out sweet and it was really easy to make. Since I've used this pattern a couple times before, I flew through making it. I think I finished it in at hour and a half, maybe less.

Anyways, now I'm gonna try to go to bed. Hopefully I'll sleep better than I did last night.

Green and Pink Top

Today I made this adorable top for Brantley Rae. I will admit that I haven't finished the straps and I didn't make the white shirt or the pants. I think it turned out really cute!!

Decorations Are Hung...

By the chimney with care, wait we don't have a chimney but they were hung with care!

I know we put them up a little early but I didn't want to wait any longer. I've loved sitting at home this week with the tree on because it's so pretty and it just reminds me of the happy times that the Holidays bring.

Chase and I saw this at Target a few weeks ago and I thought it was so cute! I had to buy it!

She truly is a gift from God!

We don't have many decorations but I think these are pretty! I wish I could go Christmas decoration shopping so bad but baby stuff comes first right now. Brantley Rae will probably come before Christmas decorations for a long time. Oh well!! I'm still happy!!

Anybody else jumped the gun on Christmas decorations or is it just me?

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we're headed to visit with Chase's family. I'm not sure if I'll take any pictures but if I do I'll have a Thanksgiving post when we get back.

Baby Shower #3

Sunday afternoon I had my third baby shower. It went really well but we did not take very many good pictures at all. So here are a few of the best ones.

The table was set very nicely and the food was wonderful!

Strawberry cake from Edgar's. AMAZING!! I still have some in the fridge but I'm eating a small piece every night after dinner. Yummy!!

My mom made me the diaper cake and she did a great job! So cute! My sister-in-law, Mary Ellen, made the watermelon baby carriage. Alyssa got to help!

Nana gave BR this gown, bonnet, socks, shoes and tiny baby ring for her baby dedication we will be having in May or June. The dress is beautiful and we love it! Thanks, Mom!

We got the swing (I've already put it together), infant positioner, wipe warmer and comfort bather.

BR's Bebe, gave her this cute frame/bow holder combo thing. It's adorable and I can't wait to get more bows to put on it and have a picture of BR to put in it.

This is the lot of clothes that we received at the shower. Heck yes! I love little tiny outfits and we needed all of them!!

Burp cloths!

New sheets, sheet savers and Boppy covers. When I took this picture I was washing the Boppy covers so that's why it's white. We got a cute pink and white cover and also a cover with cupcakes and sprinkles on it. I love them both!!

Anyways, we got much more than what I took pictures of but this is a lot of it. We are so very thankful for all the gifts we have been given. We can't wait for our little girl to be born so that we can start to use it all instead of it just sitting around our house.

Belly Post - 29 Weeks

Inside my belly this week...

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain. To meet her increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because her bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

Brantley Rae,

This week has flown by and you have really been moving and rolling around in my belly. I've been having trouble sleeping but it's not all your fault. I can tell that you must be growing quickly because everyday it gets harder for me to breathe. I have to stand up and take deep breaths to try to get you to move around a little bit. I know this is going to get worse as you continue to get bigger, but that's okay, I want you to be healthy.

On a lighter note, we had our 3rd baby shower on Sunday and got lots of really great things. You got so many cute outfits. I'm going to share more about the shower in my next post.

Daddy and I have already decorated for Christmas! We love this time of year and I was anxious to get our tree up so Daddy got it out of storage Sunday night. Yay! I'll post pictures of that soon as well.

Tonight, Daddy and I have our second Childbirth class. We're learning what to expect during your delivery so that we can get you here as safely and quickly as possible. We love you very much and can't wait to meet you in February.

4D Ultrasound

Alyssa's 4th Birthday Party

Today, Chase and I went out to my brother and sister-on-laws house for my niece, Alyssa's 4th Birthday party. She got lots of great gifts and had fun riding her new bike.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake from Edgar's. It was SO good! Alyssa said that she wanted Mr. Ed to make her birthday cake. hehe She's so cute!!

Alyssa's cousin, Abby, got to come to her party. They get along so well and are just adorable together!

Make a wish, Birthday girl!!

This is Alyssa opening our gifts we gave her. We gave her a little outfit and these games. Don't Spill the Beans and Cootie! I used to have Cootie when I was a kid and I loved it!
She and Abby actually played a round and she seemed to like the game so that's good.

The present she liked the most was her new big girl bike! She was pretty excited about it and had a blast riding it around the circle in front of their house. She also got a new Hello Kitty helmet and knee pads. So cute!

She was so happy!

Abby and Chase had fun playing together while we all stood around and watched Alyssa ride her bike. Abby is such a cutie! She and Chase get along really well and love playing together.
Seeing them play together makes me even more excited that we're having a little girl.

Belly Post - 28 Weeks

This week marks the start of my third trimester. Only 84 more days!!

Inside my belly this week...
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Brantley Rae,

Wow! You are growing so much these days. I know I say that every week but seriously, I actually feel much bigger this week. You're really getting stronger! You kick pretty hard now! Daddy got to feel your little hand or foot pushing on my tummy yesterday and the day before. You are turning into a little gymnast already!!
We've been given so many great things for you at our showers. Mommy can't wait to see you in all the adorable little outfits and take you for a ride in your car seat and stroller. The stroller was delivered today! Yay! We have all the really big things except the rocking chair/glider and I hope to buy that soon if we don't get it at our last shower. I'm really wanting to sit in your nursery in the glider and rock and read you books. I think it would be a good bonding time for us. I love you little girl!!
I bought you an adorable AUBURN outfit today at Target. It was on sale so I just couldn't resist!! You have lots of really cute clothes. I'm hoping to make you some more dresses in the next few weeks, so hopefully I'll get around to that.
You only have 3 months or less really to be in my belly and I can hardly stand it. Daddy says that I'm impatient but really I'm just so overly excited about meeting you that it seems like I'm being impatient. I think?! I by no means what you to come before you're ready so just stay in there and keep growing. You've got to put on lots of weight which sadly means, so does Mommy. Oh well, I'll deal with it and put on the weight just for you.
Well baby girl, I guess that's all I have to say for right now. Daddy and I love you so much already and are praying for you everyday. We are so thankful for you and you're such a blessing to our family.

Marley's Pajamas

Chase and I bought Marley these adorable doggy pajamas today at Target. She's still getting used to them but we thought they were cute. We couldn't resist!!

Short and sweet! I'll be posting my 28 week Belly post later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Baby Shower #2

Today was my 2nd Baby Shower. I had such a great time and got LOTS of great gifts!
Thank you to all the girls that hosted and helped with the shower. Y'all are wonderful!!

Diana made this adorable sign for BR. It is now hanging in her room on her closet door. We love it!

Lots of love for BR!

I gave the hostesses scarves that I made them all with my own two hands. Hopefully they really like them and will get to wear them some this winter.

Lots of the loot!
Toys, gowns, pacifiers, rubber duckies, bath stuff, diapers and wipes, and lots of receiving blankets, just to name a few things.

BR's Nana, my mom, gave her these adorable grooming/healthcare tools, if you will. ha! Aren't they just the cutest things you even did see. Hopefully BR will like them and not mind us using them on her to keep her looking cute!

We got our infant car seat and I'm so happy about that. It's been one of those items that I just couldn't wait to get. Thanks to the Bachofer's now I can sleep at night! ha!
We got our Pack-N-Play from the hostesses but I haven't set it up yet. It's out of the box but it's still in pieces.
Also, we will be receiving our stroller in 7-10 days. Bebe and Granddaddy, Chase's parents, bought us this but it hasn't come in yet.

So we got most of our big items at this shower and I'm totally pumped about that fact!!!

Also, Jami made BR this really cool window picture holder that will most likely hang above her crib. It's pretty heavy so we've got to make sure Chase can hang it on the wall securely before we hang it over BR's bed.
Once Brantley Rae gets here and we start flooding our house with pictures of her, we'll replace the pictures of me with adorable pictures of her. I can hardly wait!!

There were so many other people there and gifts received that aren't pictured, but we are very grateful for them all. Thank you so much to everyone that came, helped and brought BR a sweet gift. All of them will be used and are greatly appreciated.
