A Beautiful Sunday Afternoon

Sunday, Chase and I met my parents for lunch at McAlister's. We sat outside because the weather was absolutely AMAZING! During lunch my parents talked us into going out to Oak Mountain State park with them to meet my Aunt and Uncle to go hiking to Pee Vine falls.
I should have declined since I'd been sick with Bronchitis since Thursday, but instead I decided to tough it out. After lunch, Chase and I went and picked up Marley so she could go with us.

We had such a wonderful time! Marley was surprisingly a very good hiker. She kept up with Chase really well and he moves pretty quick. I must say, until the climb back up from the falls I did pretty well also.

My mom and I. She was being a serious hiker yeasterday with her walking pole. ha! Just kidding, I'm sure it helped and I probably should have had one.

There was a good bit of water coming over the falls.

Chase and I took our shoes off to get this picture and let me tell you what...that water was FREEZING!! Marley was kinda freaking out because she was afraid Chase was going to put her down in the water, but he was nice and put her back on dry ground.

The climb out of there is STRAIGHT UP! I mean seriously, STRAIGHT UP! By the time we got back to the car I could hardly walk any further and I was coughing like crazy. Not good!
Turns out that if you have Bronchitis you shouldn't go hiking! Whoops! haha!
Hopefully, I'll be feeling better soon and back to my normal non-coughing self soon.

Surprise & Sickness

This afternoon, Brantley Rae received her first gift in the mail. Her great grandparents from Millbrook sent her some really cute outfits, shoes, socks and a little picture frame. They are so super sweet to send her something already.

Last night my sickness took a turn for the worse. I have become extremely stopped up and now it's hard for me to breathe. Sleeping last night was a task, but I was able to get a little rest.
Today, I haven't felt much better. I contemplated going back to the doctor but I decided to wait and see how I feel tomorrow. With the way I'm feeling right now, I'll be going to the doctor right after church.

So now I'm sitting on the couch getting ready to watch some AUBURN football!

I saw this on my friend Emily's blog and I liked it so much that I decided I want to share it as well. This little girl is GOOD!

Belly Post - 21 Weeks

This week I'm 21 weeks pregnant.
This morning I woke up coughing. I went to the doctor and I have Bronchitis. Gross! Yuck! I hate being sick, especially when I'm pregnant. I have a prescription that I am allowed to take so hopefully I'll be better soon.

Now on to the good stuff...

Brantley,

This week you now weigh about three-quarters of a pound and you're 7-10 inches long. That's about the length of a banana or a carrot. My book says that I may soon feel like you're practicing martial arts as your fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. Neurons are now connected between your brain and muscles, and cartilage throughout your body is turn into bone. You're growing so fast! I can't wait to feel you more and Daddy is ready to feel you kicking too.
Also, your eyebrows and lids are present now. Your eyelids are still fused shut but your eyes are continuing to develop. My book says that this week I need to eat bananas, carrots and other things I will want you to eat after you're born and start eating real food. That's because the amniotic fluid you're swimming in and swallowing now, tastes like the things that I eat. So get ready for Mommy to eat lots of good healthy stuff so you'll maybe like good healthy stuff after you're born.
Mommy has gotten sick with Bronchitis which makes me cough a lot. Sorry if my coughing is bothering you. I'm taking my medicine so I should be better soon.

Belly Post - 20 Weeks

This is a couple of days past due but here it is anyways. I took this picture on Friday morning before going to work.

Brantley Rae,

This week you weigh about 10 1/2 ounces now. You are also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel. You are growing really fast now. My tummy is getting bigger and bigger everyday. I feel like I might be as big as a barn by the time you're done cooking. hehe! You are swallowing more these days, which is good practice for your digestive system. I have started to feel you moving a lot more this week and I love it. Daddy can't feel you yet but in a few weeks he'll be able to.
Daddy and I love you very much baby girl and we are planning for your arrival everyday. This weekend we went shopping and I bought you some SUPER cute outfits. I can't wait to see you in them. You're going to be ADORABLE!!

Here are the things we bought for BR this weekend.

The first 3 outfits are from Vintage Blu Consignment & Gift Shop in Prattville and the last one is from the Bluff Park UMC Mommy & Me sale.

This is probably my favorite outfit so far. BR will be able to wear it in the summer. I LOVE the smocked watermelons on it. So cute!

This is the Boppy pillow and cover that we bought at the Bluff Park sale for $12. What I steal! It's in perfect conditions and so very soft. I love the little firefly. Also, some of the tabs on the side have that crunchy plastic stuff so that should be fun for BR to play with one day.

Anyways, we had a great weekend and got some cute stuff for baby girl. We didn't let me rain stop us!!!

Mystery Dinner

Tonight, Chase and I went to a Mystery dinner at church with our Sunday school class. We had no idea what to expect, but it ended up being really fun.
You may be asking yourself...what is a mystery dinner exactly?

Well, we were only told where and what time to show up, nothing else about the menu or what we would be doing. Once we got there and everyone was talking about it, trying to figure out what was going on, I got a little worried.

Once we were seated, we were all given a menu that was typed out in German. It had 12 items listed on it. No one had any idea what they were. There were going to be 3 courses and for each course, we had to pick 4 things. There was a main dish, sides, salad, a drink, dessert, and utensils all in that list of 12. I just mixed up the numbers and totally guessed. Once we had our menus filled out they were taken up and into the kitchen.

One last rule...after each course we had to clear our places. We couldn't keep our drink or utensils. Hmm?

My meal
Course 1: Salad, green beans, a roll, and cheese cake. (No utensil of any sort, or drink)
Course 2: New potatoes, water, a napkin and tooth pick. Haha...that was interesting.
Course 3: Pecan-crusted Chicken, a spoon, knife, and fork.

Some people got even worse combinations than me but it was really really funny! I would say that the hardest part was eating the cheesecake without a fork or spoon. It was pretty messy!! I didn't have a napkin yet. ha! Chase had similar courses that I did.

We have a great class and we're really enjoying getting to know everyone there.

I'm just sitting here on the couch after work and made this just for the heck of it. It's hard to read the words because they're so small, but I wanted to share it anyways.

It's a GIRL!

These are the pictures from Tuesday's ultrasound. I was 19 1/2 weeks.
BR weighed 10 oz and her heart rate was 149bpm.

She has grown a lot since the last ultrasound.

Sushi to Celebrate

Tonight, Chase and I went to dinner at Yuki in Hoover to eat sushi in honor of finding out that Brantley is a GIRL!

We had Edemame and...

A shrimp tempora roll, a cucumber roll (not pictured) and Chase had a California roll.
The shrimp was cooked, no worries folks.

It was all really good and yummy!

Shopping for Brantley Rae

To celebrate finding out that Brantley is a GIRL, my mom and I went shopping for the rest of the afternoon. Here are a few pictures of what I bought.

I bought the mattress and a pink sheet to go in her crib because it was driving me crazy that the crib has been empty for so many weeks.
I bought these 4 outfits, a pair of shoes, 1 adorable onesie with a cute saying on it, and a stuffed animal.
The stuffed animal I bought has raddles in the feet and crunchy stuff and squeakers under the numbers. It's really soft!!

My mom gave this to me for Brantley as we were walking out of the doctor's office. She had brought something pink and something blue so she would be prepared for either one. It's a lamb passy holder and tiny white passy. So cute!!

This is another picture of the outfits I bought yesterday. I LOVE the footies on all the pajamas. They are adorable! Brantley Rae's feet are going to be so sweet! The pink dress is precious! I LOVE them all so much and I can't wait to put her in them!!

I bought these two outfits a few months ago, right after I found out I was pregnant. They are, you guessed it, ADORABLE!! hehe

After spending 2, yes 2 hours in Babies R' Us my mom took me to the Swanky Stork in Homewood where she bought me a great pair of pants. I am so thankful for them because pants have been nearly impossible for me to find so that was a great way to end our shopping day.

GIRL!!

Today has been a super-very long day for me and I am pooped! So this is going to be short with no pictures.
Chase, my mom and I all went to my doctor's appointment this morning and found out that we'll be having a GIRL!! Her name will be Brantley Rae Williamson. She will be named after Chase's mother. Brantley was her maden name.
After the doc, Chase went back to work and mom and I went to lunch at the Diplomat Deli. Yummy! Once our tummies were full, we headed on over to Babies R' Us. We spent 2 hours in there registering and shopping. It was wonderful!! All the cute little PINK stuff was calling my name. I did control myself and only get a few things, but I'll share those things with everyone tomorrow.
After all the shopping, I went and spent the evenings with my second family, the Bachofer's. I LOVE them all SO much!! The kids are getting so big and I love spending time with them. Jennie and John are excited about Baby Brantley. They are considering her their first grandchild and their kids are going to be Brantley's extra aunts and uncles. hehe! She can't have too many I don't suppose.
I just got home from their house and I'm going to bed. I'll post the picture from the sonogram tomorrow after work.

I was 16 weeks the last time I went to the doctor. I wonder what she'll think about how much my belly has grown?!

Tomorrow is the big day! Gender day! Chase and I are super excited! I'll blog as soon as I get home from shopping for blue or pink stuff.
My mom and I are going straight to the baby shops when we leave the doctor's office. The shops have been calling our names for quite a while now.

Look Who Came To Dinner

Kiki, her mommy (Ashley), and Ashley's new friend, Frankie came over for dinner.
I cooked yummy spaghetti and garlic bread. I cooked the bread too long but the spaghetti was good! Or at least, everyone said it was!

Kearstyn had a ball playing with Marley after dinner. They gave each other lots of kisses and played very well together.

Belly Post - 19 Weeks

I'm so pumped about being almost halfway through my pregnancy. Brantley is growing a lot and so is my belly. I think I may have actually felt the baby move a few times today and yesterday. The feelings don't last long enough for me to know for sure but I'm sure over the next few days I'll really know.
WOW!! HOLY COW!!! Right now, I just felt Brantley move, like 10 times in a row. I'm so pumped!!! You should see the smile on my face!!!! It's HUGE!!!

Brantley,

You weigh about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, from your head to your bottom. Your arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of your body now. The hair on your head is starting to grow too.
Your sensory development is exploding! Your brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. I read today that you may be able to hear mine and Daddy's voices now, so I'm going to start reading to you, talking to you, or singing to you. So get ready!!
Mommy and Daddy are so excited about finding out if your a boy or a girl on Tuesday. I can't wait to start buying you cute little blue or pink things. Yay!!

Labor Day @ Alabama Adventure

Monday, Chase and I went to Alabama Adventure for some fun in the sun. We met my Mom, Alyssa and Ashley (our niece's), my little cousin Abby and my Aunt MaryJo (also Abby's Nonnie).
Because I'm pregnant I couldn't really do very much which meant Chase didn't get to do much either. Most of the tube rides were closed for some reason and the lines got pretty long quickly.
We still had a great time!!

Abby and Alyssa really enjoyed riding these race cars. They were so cute!

Look how much fun they were having. The track would go REALLY fast around the curves and then slower down the straights.

Abby and Alyssa rode this little roller coaster and really liked it. They looked like they were having a lot of fun after it went around the first time.

Now here are the BRAVE big kids. Chase talked my mom into riding the Zoomerang with him. After the ride, Chase was ready to go again and my mom was wishing she hadn't been so brave. Haha! That's okay though, she still did it! GO MOM!! and Chase!!

Lots of loops and turns. It goes forward first and then backwards. WOW! If I wasn't pregnant I would have gone on it with Chase again. Maybe next time!!

Towards the end of the day, everyone but me, went and rode the Log ride. I really wish I could have done this one!

We had a wonderful Labor Day and I'm very glad went! It was great to spend time with everyone!!
