Savannah at 3 Months Old

Diapers: Size 1     Clothes: 0-3 Month

• Eats every 2-3 hours during the day. We are still exclusively breastfeeding.
• Night time: On a typical night, she goes to bed at 8:30 and wakes to eat around 3:30-4:00, and then sleeps until 7:00. Love it! Other nights, she's up more often or wakes up much earlier.
• She naps 4-5 times a day depending on how long each nap is. I put her down for a nap after she's been awake for an hour and half to two hours. During a good nap she will sleep for over 2 hours. If we're at home all day, she will typically take 2 of those long naps.
• Her eyes are still really blue. I'm really hoping that they don't change.
• I noticed the other day that her peach fuzz, aka her hair, looked a little strawberry blonde like Brantley's always has been.

• Savannah still does pretty good during tummy time. She has really good head control.
• She has started sitting in the Exersaucer with a little pillow in front of her and really seems to like it a lot. She will sit in there for about 5 minutes at a time. She has also been sitting in the Bumbo seat while I get ready in the bathroom. I guess I need to send off for my seat belt kit for the Bumbo but I just haven't done it yet.
• Savannah has started trying to sit up all the time. When she's in her car seat or bouncy seat, she will pull herself forward in an attempt to sit up. She's very strong so I think she will be an early sitter. 
• She is chewing on toys now and pulls on the little toys on her tummy time mat when she's on her back.
• She smiles all the time and is starting to laugh out loud at us. Sweetest sound ever!!
• And lastly, she HATES riding in the carseat pretty much anytime she's awake back there. She will scream and scream until I can get her out. This makes car rides really stressful and long, so I'm hoping she grows out of this really soon. If I can get her to keep her pacifier in her mouth, then she usually does better and sometimes falls asleep.

Brantley is so in love with her baby sister. It's SO cute to watch her care for and love on Savannah. It's not always roses around here but we are truly blessed and thankful for all that we have and for our sweet little family. God is so good!! 

Savannah is a joy and we love her VERY much!! Both of our girls are beautiful gifts and we are so thankful for each of them. We are all still adjusting to life as a family of four and we're finally starting to settle in. 

Brantley's First Day of 2K

Today was our sweet girls first day of 2K preschool. I thought I was be sad or maybe tear up a little bit but I didn't at all. I thought about it, but I didn't. I am really excited for her/with her about school. She is going to learn so much and have a FANTASTIC time at school. I can't wait to hear about all the fun she is having this afternoon when I pick her up.

 It's hard to believe she's old enough to be in preschool! She's growing up so fast!!

Good Morning Girls Group

Hey Ladies!

Have you heard of the Good Morning Girls? If not you can visit their website, GoodMorningGirls.org, and read more about them. Basically, a GMG group is an online accountability group of ladies that will encourage each other daily to read and study God's word by contacting each other through email or in our case, a private blog that I've created. We will discuss our daily readings and our thoughts and prayers. The time of day doesn't actually matter. It's called Good MORNING Girls, but the afternoon or evening is fine too. We just want to encourage DAILY quiet time with God and studying his word.

We will do an EIGHT-week series in the book of Colossians starting September 15! This will include a FREE eWorkBook, Bible study Guide, videos, articles, resources and MORE! At the end of the 8-weeks – we will then launch a 4 week Advent Bible study for Christmas!

I've spent the past week or so following the GMG website and reading their posts. They are finishing up their summer study of Proverbs 31. I'm sad that I missed out on that study and hope that I can find time to study it as well. Angela and Courtney are very passionate about women being in the word. I've been greatly encouraged by them already.

 I'm very excited about this and so ready to get started. I'm at a place in my spiritual journey where I'm really thirsty for God's word and ready to learn more about his love, grace and mercy. 12 Weeks and 30 Months

 Brantley is now 30 months and Savannah turned 12 weeks yesterday. She will be 3 months next Thursday! I can't believe it!!

I love this baby girls smile!! People are starting to say she looks like me and that puts a huge smile on my face. 

Playdate with the McMahan's

 Last Friday, we went over to Mason's house to play for the morning. He and Brantley had a great time playing together even though they hadn't seen each other in a long time. 

Brantley wore Mason's carpentry goggles (mostly around her neck) the whole time we were there. Funny girl!

Mason also has a new baby sister. Her name is Molly and she is exactly 1 month older than Savannah. My hope is that these two little girls will be great friends as they get older, just like Brantley and Mason.

Kiki Turned 6!!

 On Sunday, July 29th, we helped my friend, Ashley's daughter Kearstyn, celebrate her 6th birthday by joining her for a pool party.

 Brantley had a fantastic time swimming in the pool and Savannah even took her first dip in a swimming pool. Chase and I made the mistake of not taking our swim suits. It was SO HOT and I was really wishing I could've jumped in that pool to cool off.

We had a great time at the party. Happy Birthday, Kiki!!

Meeting Grandmother Harris

On Friday, July 27th, we finally made it over to Oxford so that my Grandmother Harris could meet Savannah. My mom went with us for the day. I love when we get to spend quality time with family!

 Savannah was tired when we were taking these pictures and we were about to head back home so we didn't really get a good picture, but at least I remembered to take a few.

Brantley Rae is getting so big and so growny looking. I wish I could slow down time and keep her little longer!! She starts school again in 2 weeks. She's really excited about it and so am I honestly. I'm excited for her!!
