BR at 18 Months Old

I don't know how she could be much cuter but it just keeps happening. We love her!!
This is my favorite picture of Brantley and I so far. Frame it!!
Brantley Rae is starting to test Chase and I. She loves to climb into chairs, like this one that spins, even though she knows she's not suppose to. It's a battle that we are willing to fight because I don't want her to fall and get hurt. This little stinker is going to learn and hopefully, not the hard way!

I hate that this post is so late (2 weeks) but at least I'm getting it done now. We've been pretty with the house and enjoying the end of summer so I have a lot to blog about. I just need to make time to sit down and do it. I'm going to try and catch up this weekend before I start work on Monday. Post to come!!

I'm still here, but busy and tired!

We closed on our new house on Monday, July 18th at 5pm and started moving in that night around 7pm. We've been pretty much non-stop with opening boxes and putting things in a place. I haven't taken many pictures of the house because the rooms aren't finished yet.
It's honestly going to be awhile before things are finished but hopefully in the next week or so we can get the house put together enough to take share some pictures.

We love the house and are overwhelmed with how great God is. Our house buying journey was long and torturous but God has this house in mind and worked it out in our favor. We're very blessed and thankful!

I look forward to being able to share pictures with you all in the near future. I hope you're all having a wonderful week and that you have a great weekend. God bless!!

17 Months / New Words Update

In loo of Brantley's 17 month post, I'm just going to post her new words. I've decided that since I'm almost 2 weeks late and I really don't have any pictures to share, this will just have to do.
So, Brantley is now saying...
"mommy",
"daddy",
"Bebe" aka Chase's step-mom, Bebe is her grandma name,
"baby sue" aka bathing suit,
"bye-bye",
"heyo" aka hello,
"bup-bup" aka up (she has started to drop the B a few times),
"kuck" aka truck,
"broom-broom" aka vroom-vroom (This girl LOVES trucks already!),
"cook",
"ice",
"bow",
"pohw" aka pool,
"Pooh" for Pooh Bear,
"choo-choo" for a train,
"teet-teet" for what a bird says,
"ah ah" for what a dog says (it's doesn't sound right but it's what she means),
"meow" for what a cat says,
"all done",
"appoow" aka apple,
"shoe",
"ox" aka socks,
"baby",
"moo" for what a cow says,
"mo" aka more,
"ba" aka bath,
"poop",
"tee-tee",
"toy",
"baw" aka ball,
"pacy",
"jiewce" aka juice,
"eyes",
"nose",
"mow" aka mouth,
"toes",
"nigh-nigh" aka night-night,
"bubbow" aka bubble,
"cheese",
"tees" aka teeth,
"outsi" aka outside,
"tash" aka trash,
"case" aka Chase (I can hardly believe this one),
"dane tu" aka Thank you.
"no",
"coes" aka clothes,
"key(s)",
"hot".
There may be a few more but this is all I can think of right now.

That's 48 words for our sweet 17 month old. Her vocabulary is really starting to expand. It's so fun to hear her try out new words.

Our little baby is growing up!! We love her SO very much!!!
This picture is from the 4th of July. We unfortunately didn't do anything festive or patriotic to celebrate but I did snap a few cute pictures before the rain started.
This is BR's favorite book right now. She points at the pictures and either says the word herself or waits for me to say it for her. So smart!!

Calm Before the Storm

This past weekend was our last weekend in this house we currently call home. I'm a little saddened by this fact but I'm more excited about the new home we are moving to. This house has been a great first home for us and it's where we brought Brantley Rae home. I'm going to miss this tiny house a little bit.

We close on Wednesday, move out on Thursday and hand over the keys to the new owners on Friday morning! YIKES!! That being said...today and tomorrow are the "calm before the storm." We've packed pretty much everything that can be packed before Wednesday/Thursday that we don't need until then. So there is nothing to do around here. BORING!! Tomorrow or Wednesday I'll have to pack our bags for our 4 day vacation at Chase's parent's house. I'm calling it a vacation because that sounds much better than saying we're going to be homeless. ha! So after all that moving out, we will just be chilling at Chase's parents on our "vacation" while we wait for Monday to get here.

We will be closing on our new house on Monday morning, July 18th!! We'll be taking immediate possession of the house after closing!! So... the super busy, moving-in, craziness will begin!! I'm so excited!! I've been planning where things are going to go by looking at the pictures that I took of the house. All next week and for the next few weeks, we'll be unpacking and making our new house a HOME!

We are so thankful for how fast this selling/buying process has happened for us, considering how long it can take for some. For those of you that don't know, the first people that looked at our house (before it was officially listed) are the ones that are buying our house. We were so surprised and shocked but totally excited!! Then after a month or so of looking and searching, God opened the door to our new house (which never made it on the market either.)

How did that happen you may ask?... Our neighbor, Tom, is a mortgage rep. He was in a closing 2 weeks ago and during all the waiting, he was talking with the Realtors there about listings they had coming up. One of them told him about a 4 bedroom house she was about to list in Green Valley. Once Tom got home from that closing, it dawned on him that the house she was talking about could be exactly what Chase and I were looking for. That next day, Wednesday, Tom told Chase about it and asked if we'd be interested in him finding out more information from the realtor. Of course, we said yes!
Long story short... after our realtor talked to their realtor and the realtor talked with the owners... we got to go look at the house on Thursday. We LOVED it right away!! We submitted an offer on Friday afternoon and received their counter-offer Friday night. Wow! That was fast!
Saturday afternoon, we got to go back to the house and take another look around before signing off to accept the counter-offer. Still LOVED it!!
Then the waiting began. The owners had gone out of town for the July 4th weekend and didn't have any way of receiving and scanning the offer so we just had to wait. Chase and I are not good at waiting. Especially not me! After 4 days of waiting (doubting/hoping/praying) we heard back from them and they had signed the final contract. On July 7th the final signatures were all signed and the house was UNDER CONTRACT!!! It's ours!! haha I totally did a happy dance in the kitchen when I got off the phone with Mrs. Taylor.

Since then, we've had the inspection done on the house and it passed. Yay! The appraisal will be done one day this week. The owners will be moving out this week and over the weekend so that they can give us the keys on Monday at closing. Can't wait!!

So all that being said... Today and tomorrow are the calm before the storm of moving out and moving in. We are so excited and thankful for what God has and is blessing us with.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!!

Under Contract!!!!!!!!!!!

We finally got the contract on our new house. The final signatures will be put on paper tonight but all negotiations are complete!! We are so excited!! I actually did a happy dance earlier when we found out. haha! I wanted to share a picture or two, so here they are!

This is the nice eat-in kitchen, which is probably our favorite thing about the house. The laundry room runs a close second. haha
There is a window seating and banquet seating over by the door to the patio.
I'm digging these built in shelves for cookbooks and nic-nacs. :o)
The laundry room is downstairs away from the kitchen. I'm so happy to finally have a room all for doing laundry. It's the little things!

I'll post more pictures of the inside once we're all moved in a such. I don't want to post pictures with all the current owners belongings in it for their privacy.
