BR at 8 Months

 I'm not sure how much Brantley weighs because I haven't been to the group to weigh her in almost 2 months. Yikes! I'm guessing she's around 16-17 pounds. Still little but very very active! She still naps 3-4 times a day. Although, she starting to drop her late afternoon nap and going to bed a little earlier, which is great! This week we've had some trouble with nap time, but I'm gonna win and she's gonna continue to be a good sleeper, and I good go-to-sleeper. ha!

We've been having so much fun lately. Her personality is developing so much and I just love it! She's adorable, precious and we love her.

At 8 months Brantley:

- is pulling up everywhere is can and on anything that is stationary. Sometimes this ends in a fall and a bonk on the head. So far she isn't all that tough. Everytime she cries really hard for about 30 seconds and then she gets over it. I guess that's not too bad! ha!

- Pulls up to stand in her crib. Then she beats her hands on the top rail as if she saying, "Mommy, Daddy, come get me!!!" It's pretty cute but we're gonna be lowering her crib this weekend because I would hate for our sweet angel to fall out. Ouch!

- Likes kiwi and watermelon a whole lot. She is getting really good at feeding herself. She also loves the baby puffs. So far we've only tried Veggie Dip, Sweet Potato, Strawberry Apple and Cinnamon Maple (She's not a fan of the last one but all the others she likes).

- Sometimes she crawls back to her playroom to play all by herself. I'm so glad she likes the room and that she can entertain herself a little bit. I don't leave her in there alone for very long, but she likes just crawling all over the house and exploring.

- has seriously become the best baby ever. I'm amazed at how easy she really is. Love her!

- Her hair is really starting to grow. I'm sure you can see in the pictures, but now I can put a bow in her hair and I don't have to use a headband.

- Holds and drinks out of her sippy cup. Loves white grape juice and water.

- She is starting to dance. She will stand at the toy in the picture below and when the alphabet song plays she will bounce her bottom up and down. It's adorable!!

I can't believe she's 8 months old already. Time is flying by so fast! With the holidays coming up I know January will be here before we know it. Ahh! I better cherish every day.

Brantley and Mason

These are pictures from Mason's first day at our house. We had a great day!

Some other pictures from last week. They have so much fun rolling and crawling all over the floor.

On Monday morning, I took the babies outside to play and they had a great time. I was able to take some really cute pictures of them. So fun!

Mason was a really happy guy Monday afternoon and I got lots of really great pictures of his cute smile. Brantley was not interested in smiling. She just wanted to play, play, play.

So far so good. I'm liking keeping little Mason at home with us. It's a great way for me to work from home so I'm really glad that it's working out.

p.s. We bought me a mini-van over the weekend. Poke fun, if you must but I love it. I'll post more about that later. ha!

Playing at the Park

Today we took BR up to the Bluff Park playground to swing and slide with Mommy and Daddy. We walked from Shades Crest Baptist which ended up being a longer walk than we had thought, but it was great and BR loved the swing as usual. I imagine we'll be spending lots of afternoon at this little park over the next couple of years. I'm so glad we live in such a nice, small and friendly community.

7 Month Photo Shoot

This morning we took Brantley to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens to hopefully get some cute 7 month pictures. I think we succeeded in catching some good smiles.

BR got to take pictures with Mommy and Daddy. Unfortunately, she was getting really tired when it was time to take pictures with Daddy so she didn't smile much in theirs. Oh well, they're still super cute!

Meeting Isaiah Daniel

On September 1st, some of my family got together at my Aunt Mary Jo and Uncle Mike's house to visit with my cousin Andrea and her family while they were in town from PA. We got to meet little Isaiah when they were down here. He was only 3 weeks old at the time. (I think. Don't hold me to that.) He is a handsome little guy and looks so much like his Mommy, which was a surprise because both of his big brothers look just like their Daddy. Precious!!

Above is the first picture that we have of Molly Lane and Brantley Rae together. I hate that it took so long for us to get them in a picture together but babies are hard to take pictures of if they aren't happy and awake at the same time. ha! In the bottom right picture, BR is watching her cousin, Judah, play and try to make her smile. He did just that!

Of course, the Preston's visit ended all too soon but it was still wonderful to see them all and to meet little Isaiah.

First Auburn Game of the Season

To kick off the 2010 College football season, Chase, BR and I went over to our friends, Lauren and Kevin's house to watch the Auburn game. Thankfully they had the Auburn game on and since Bama was PPV we got to watch the whole game without switching back and forth. We had a great time hanging out with everyone. BR got to sit on Kevin's 4-Wheeler and played with her toys in the floor. She was such a good baby, like usual!

We were totally pumped that we won our first game of the season. Great way to start things off.

BR at 7 Months Old

I'm a little late on this post but we've been really busy this week and I just got around to taking her 7 month pictures yesterday afternoon. I love my little Auburn Tiger!! So cute!!

Weight: Not sure, but I'm gonna guess somewhere around 15 pounds.

Height: No clue

Diapers: Size 2

Clothes: 3-6 month, almost into 9 month because she's tall 

(I'm not sure where she got her height from)

Naps: 3-4 times a day

(We're about to start a new schedule because I'm going to be keeping a little boy at home with us starting Tuesday, so I'm hoping to have them on the same schedule.)

Eats: Drinks 4-5 bottles everyday and eats 2-3 meals a day. She has started eating those little puffs and really likes them. She can actually put them in her own mouth!

At 7 months Brantley:

- is CRAWLING!!! It's crazy! We wanted her to crawl so bad a few weeks ago because we thought that would be so great. Now is she all over the place and I miss the days of her being immobile. I'm happy for her that she has reached this milestone she's just a little early and really doesn't understand "no" at all. Marley's toys, food bowls and extension cords are her favorite things to crawl towards. So I unplug the extension cords and put up Marley's food when she's crawling around to avoid any encounters. haha!

- still loves her pacifier...I'm not sure when we're going to give this one up. It works for now and she sleeps really well so I haven't even thought about taking it away yet.

- loves to play in the floor with her toys

- tries to flip over EVERY time we change her diaper. I have to say that this is probably the most annoying thing yet. Especially, when she has a poopy diaper. I mean really, just be still kid so it doesn't get all over the place. I've started giving her her hairbrush to chew on and it's been working really well most of the time.

- likes to love on her pink tiger at our house and her babydoll and doggy at Bebe and Paw-Paw's house. It's so cute! You can tell her to "give it some love" and she'll pull it to her and give it a hug. Adorable!!

- still loves her exersaucer and her johnny jump up. These two were lifesavers before she was crawling and now they are even better, because she can't get out of them but loves to play and jump. So great!

- is getting cuter and cuter everyday. Her hair is finally starting to grow. I can put a bow in it but it falls out pretty easily. We're almost there! Maybe by 8 months we won't need headbands anymore.

So that's pretty much BR at 7 months. I'm sure I've left something out and if I have I'll come back and add it later. I took her pictures with the adorable AU outfit that my friend, Tiffany from Auburn, gave her back before she was born. Unfortunately, it's a little big but that's not going to stop us from wearing it. It's a good thing I know a thing or two about sewing. It will fit perfect by tonight. I assure you! ha!  Is loves that table toy and the bouncey seat toys also. She won't stay int he bouncey seat but she loves the toys from it. Silly girl! Check out her adorable bloomers with the paw prints on the bottom. So cute!!

Crawling at 7 Months!! Ahh!

This is a video I took of Brantley on the day that she started crawling. Yes! She is crawling already!! It's been a week now and she is all over the place. In the video she's crawling slow and still unsure of what she's doing but now she knows exactly what's up and loves being mobile. 

I think it's adorable to watch her move around and explore although, I don't like it very much when she wants to explore Marley's toys and food bowls. Yuck! haha! (So far nothing has made it to her mouth!) I'll have to take a video of her now that she's crawling faster and add it soon so you can see how much better she is at it. 

Our little sweet pea is growing up! Sniff, sniff!

 She was crawling over to Marley's house with the letter "I" in ther mouth. I thought it was so silly so I had to take a picture. haha
