Beach Trip (Day 2 - Playground)

The complex had this great little playground right next to the pool. So that night while dinner was cooking, Chase and I took Brantley down to play.

 Gorgeous! I'm in love with our new camera lens and even more in love with this sweet little girl!!

 We had a lot of fun! Even Chase and I slid down the slide a time or two. I'm not sharing the pictures of me because they are terrible. I'm using them as motivation to get myself back into shape. 

Brantley LOVES her daddy so much! They were playing "monster" or tag. Chase was chasing her but she got away from him just in time before he could tickle her. haha!

We stayed in for dinner and just relaxed there in the condo. We were all pretty pooped from a day full of fun!

Beach Trip (Day 2 - Beach)

Thursday morning we decided that we would head down to the beach for a couple of hours. We all got dressed and gathered up the necessities that we needed to take a 2-year-old and a 3-month-old down to the sandy beach. Thankfully, the owner of the condo (my mom's friend, Jan) had reserved us an umbrella and two chairs so we didn't have to lug the big tent down there that I had planned on taking, so that Savannah could stay in the shade. Just a quilt and the bouncy seat is all we took for her and it worked out great!

Brantley and Chase played in the sand and water while I relaxed under the umbrella with Savannah and Mom went for a walk down the beach. My Dad had gone to play golf all day. We missed him, but I'm glad he got to play the game that he loves!

 Savannah was a perfect angel while we were down at the beach. She loved the breeze and the sound of the waves. After playing for awhile, she ended up taking a pretty long nap in the bouncy seat.

 Up until the last 10 minutes we had a wonderful time. Brantley ended up getting LOTS of sand in her eyes. So we spent about 20 minutes trying to get it all out and calm her down. Thankfully, I finally got her to the car and from all her crying, the sand came out of her eyes and she was okay. Hopefully next time she will remember this and not throw sand like Chase and I repeatedly told her not to do. Ha!

Brantley LOVES the beach!!

This picture collage deserves it's very own post. It show exactly how excited Brantley was to be at the beach and how happy she was in that very moment! I plan to print this and frame it somehow so because I just love it! Look at that tonge! LOL That is kind of her new thing she does when she's playing and gets excited. We keep telling her to keep it in her mouth because if she falls she might bite it off. She just looks at us funny and then keeps on playing. Silly girl!!

Beach Trip (Day 1 - Evening)

That night we all went to dinner at The Back Porch. While we waited for our food, I took Brantley down to play in the sand. Chase also came down and took some pictures of us playing in the water. Brantley LOVES the beach and the water! 

The weather was so perfect and the sunset was beautiful!

We had so much fun running the the water and away from the waves. Brantley though it was so fun to go out as far as we could and then wait for a wave to chase us back onto the beach. She was smiling the whole time and had her tongue sticking out most of the time. Cute!

Bless her! At one point she was having so much fun that she tripped and fell over. You can tell by her face that at first she wasn't very pleased but after a minute or two she was back to running around chasing the waves.

We attempted more pictures after dinner but they didn't turn out all that great. BR's hair was a mess and the lighting stunk in that spot!

I just love this little outfit! I tried to find a coordinating outfit for BR but they discontinued it by the time I was looking for it. Bummer! But Savannah was totally adorable in her little crab outfit!

After dinner we took Brantley to The Track to ride a couple of the kiddie rides. She had a great time!! These spinning cars were her favorite ride.

Her last ride was the train. She loves to ride trains anywhere there is one.

We had a great time at The Track that night. Next year, she should be tall enough to ride the go-carts with Chase. He is super excited about that already!! They both love to go FAST!!

Beach Trip (Day 1: Morning)

We took a trip down to Miramar/Destin Beach, FL 2 weeks ago with my parents and I'm just not getting around to posting about it. Life has been packed full and busy ever since we got back but I'm making myself take the time to update so I don't get too far behind.

We took LOTS and LOTS of pictures because we have a cool new lens for our Nikon D300 so I'm not going to "talk" all that much, it's mostly going to be pictures. We had a fabulous time. The weather was perfect and totally beautiful the whole time. I am so thankful for that time we got to spend with my parents. Family vacations with them are so special to me! We love Nana and PopPop so very much! Enjoy!

 Good morning from Miramar Beach! Baby girl was loving the screamed in porch that first morning. We all were actually. Mom and I had coffee while Brantley played with some toys and Savannah chilled on the lounge chair. It was amazingly relaxing and just what I needed. We were in no rush!

Brantley- ready for a dip in the swimming pool. She had plenty-o-flotation device. Haha! 

 Brantley had a blast swimming with and jumping in the pool to her PopPop!

 I love this man with all my heart! He is such an amazing husband to me and father to our girls. I thank God every day for his loving devotion to me and the girls. He works so hard to provide for our family and I was so happy to see him getting to relax while on our vacation. I love you, Chase!!

 Brantley blew bubbles at the pool until there was no bubble solution left. Girl loves bubbles!

 This little munchkin found her fingers while we were at the beach. So cute!

Savannah's first dip in the swimming pool. I don't know what I was thinking but I forgot to take a picture of her in her adorable bathing suit while she wasn't in the pool. Oops!

After lots of swimming, it was time for lunch and naps. I'm going to post pictures from dinner in a separate post because there are lots of them. Stay tuned!

Savannah at 4 Months Old

 Weight: 12lbs 5oz (9/18/12)       Length: 24 inches        

Head: 16.25 inches            Diapers: Size 1 

(We actually as switching to size 2 today because we found 2 big boxes of size 2 on clearance at Publix last night. They fit pretty good , so we're moving up.)

Clothes: She is still wearing mostly 0-3 month clothes but some of her 6 month clothes are fitting. We also have a few 3-6 month things and those fit really well. She is wearing a 6 month Carter's onesie set today and it fits pretty well. So cute! I honestly think it's crazy that she is already wearing 6 month things at 4 months because this is just foreign to me. Brantley was always a whole size behind her age so Savannah being a little ahead is just crazy. She's eating good!!

Eating: I'm still exclusively nursing her and we are loving it. No problems thus far! I am super thankful for and lucky for us to be doing so well. I plan to start giving her cereal once every couple of days just so she can start to figure out solids. I may not start this until next month though. We'll see! What we're doing is working for now so I don't really want to mess with it. haha!

Sleep: I still haven't started a structured nap schedule for her yet. I'm hoping to get her on some type of schedule this month. She is napping 3-4 times a day but some days her naps are only 45 minutes long and then other days she will take at least one 2 hour nap. Night time- I try to put her to bed between 8:00 and 8:30. She is still waking up 2 times a night. Usually around 1:00 or 2:00 and then again at 4:00 or 5:00. This is making me exhausted during that day but I'm hanging in there with God's help. 

Savannah is a wonderful baby! She is so happy and smiles all the time! Her smile is so sweet! She is starting to laugh, which just melts my heart. I could just eat her up!

• She is a total Momma's Girl right now. Probably because I'm nursing and she's with me all day everyday. I love it but it makes me sad when she rejects others, especially her daddy.
• She is trying to roll from her tummy to back. She did it a few times on the bed last week at the beach but has yet to do it all on her own while on the floor. She does roll to her side while lying on her back.  
• Savannah has found her hands/fingers. She has them in her mouth pretty much ALL the time. She's also drooling a lot. I don't think she's getting any teeth yet (I don't see any buds) but I do think it's a new discovery and her gums may be itching or something.
• She has found her feet/toes a few times in the past couple of days. I just love watching her discover new things. Her eyes light up and she looks over at me, as if she's saying, "Mommy, look at me!" So cute!
• Grabs toys and chews on them. 
• She has been sitting in her Exersaucer for a few weeks but is starting to enjoy it more each day since she is becoming more stable.
• Still not a big fan of car rides.
• Savannah is still sleeping swaddled in her Woombie. 
• She is finding her voice and "talking" a good bit.
• She now giggles. ADORABLE!!

We love you Savannah! You are 4 months old.
