Oak Mountain State Park

Last Saturday afternoon, Chase and I decided to go out to Oak Mountain State Park and hang out on the HOT beach! We really had a great time! There were TONS of people there from all walks of life.

The water felt pretty good considering it was about 95-98 degrees outside Saturday. We really did have a great time! We'll probably go back so time when it's cooled off a bit and hopefully some friends will be able to go with us.

Help! I love our new header but I don't like the font color choices. What should I do? ARG! I need to update but I've taken too long messing with this for tonight. Hopefully I'll figure it out tomorrow and update then.

First Ultrasound

This is our baby!!!!
6 weeks, 3 days

Chase and I were so happy to hear the heartbeat and know that everything is going well and the baby is growing right on track. Yay! Please continue to pray with us that everything continues to go well and the baby grows into a healthy little boy or girl.

I hope you can read what I wrote on the picture! I thought it was a cute touch.

Belly Post - 6 and 1/2 Week

This is me at 6 and 1/2 weeks pregnant. I'm not showing yet but in the next few weeks, okay a lot of weeks, I should start showing. I'm going to be posting monthly updates on my belly so just get ready.

I'm still feeling pretty good. I had my first craving this morning. It was for Chef Boyardee Ravioli. Strange but true! Thankfully we had some and it was really good!

Now I'm resting on the couch while Chase and his dad work on finishing our hall closet.

Momma's Got A New Do!

This morning I went and got my hair chopped off. She cut about 4 and 1/2 inches off. It feels really good and looks much better than it does in this picture.

Today I also went to the doctor and found out that I am for sure 6 weeks pregnant. My doctor said that it sounds like I'm progressing like I should be. I still haven't had any nausea so that is a huge blessing! Chase and I go back next Thursday afternoon to hopefully hear the heartbeat for the first time.
Please pray with us this week that both myself and the baby continue to grow as we are suppose to and that I don't start feeling sick. Chase and I are so blessed to be given this tiny gift and we thank the Lord everyday for him or her.
I'll keep you all updated on how Brantley and I are doing.

Guess What...

We're having a baby!!

Last Tuesday I came home and took a test. I was SO shocked and EXCITED when I saw that little plus sign. I couldn't believe it!! I had to keep going back into to bathroom to look again. I've taken 3 tests now and they all came out positive. I'm SO excited to be a Mommy-to-be! Chase is also EXCITED to be a Daddy-to-be!
This is the shirt that I made to wear to our parent's houses when we went to surprise them with the news. They were all very excited!! My parents were in shock but still happy for us. Chase's parents are pumped about the little one!
I am already 5 weeks and we just found out on Tuesday!

The babies name will be Brantley after Chase's mom. Her madden name was Brantley. She was an AMAZING mother and we want to name the baby in her memory and honor. We're still working on the middle names but whether it's a boy or girl, his/her first name will be Brantley.

TheBump also says that the baby is the size of an appleseed this week. I think that is so neat!

I did a Chinese Gender Predictor on TheBump.com and it predicts that we'll be having a BOY. If so, his name will be Brantley Owen Williamson. We'll see in a few weeks if it's right or not when we get to that ultrasound. The website said it has 90% accuracy and was found in an ancient tomb in Beijing.
When I did it on this website, it says we're having a GIRL and that my Chinese Age is 26. Hmm? I just thought it was fun!

I Finished My Quilt Top

Check it out! I finally finished the quilt top. Now all I have to do is the back and sew on the binding. I can't wait to be finished with it and start using it soon. Since I'm at home a lot this summer I'm sure I'll finish it in the next few weeks.
